Kangana Ranaut On Getting Rejected Everyday During Struggling Days: ‘I Have Seen Underbelly Of Bollywood, Shady Audition Offices And Offers’
Bollywood’s undisputed queen Kangana Ranaut talked about her struggling days in Bollywood at the trailer launch of her production Tiku Weds Sheru. The actress recalled facing rejections every day before she debuted with Anurag Basu's film Gangster. Kangana revealed that she has seen the other side of the industry, the ‘underbelly of Bollywood like shady audition offices and offers. She stated she has gone through the grind of those struggling days.

Speaking at the launch event, the Tanu Weds Manu actress stated, “There are lakhs and lakhs of people coming to Mumbai every day with a dream. Where do these people go? What happens to them? Some of them run away from their homes. I was in a kind of situation where I had shut all the doors behind me. There was no going back for me. What happens to people like me? This thought often occurs to me. This was just one incident that happened in my life. Every day I would get rejected while auditioning. One selection changed my life when Anurag Basu approved of me. Adding to this, the 36-year-old actress mentioned she was driven by passion since the age of 15 as she was pursuing a career during her teenage years. Life was mostly full of struggles and a few successes. “All of us, including Nawaz sir (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), have gone through the grind of those struggling days. Today, we have everything like stardom and fans, and the world is very kind to us. But we have also seen the other side of Mumbai, of Bollywood and the underbelly of Bollywood as we call it like the shady audition offices and offers,” Kangana stated.

Meanwhile, Tiku Weds Sheru has been produced by Kangana and stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Avneet Kaur in the lead roles. The film will release on Amazon Prime Video on June 23. Kangana will next be seen in the upcoming political drama Emergency where she plays former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi.
